Charles Shaul Hallac (
c. 1965 – September 9, 2015) was a Co-President of
BlackRock. He joined BlackRock at its inception in 1988. Hallac had various roles at BlackRock, including the creation of the Aladdin system and was a co-founder of BlackRock Solutions which he ran until 2009.

Hallac was
Jewish and grew up in
Manila, Philippines and graduated from the International School of
Manila. He graduated from
Brandeis University. His wife and their three children lived in
Scarsdale, NY. Hallac died on September 9, 2015, after succumbing to a four-year battle with cancer at age 50.
