スノーデン容疑者、露亡命を希望する意向表明
【モスクワ＝緒方賢一】米政府機関による情報監視を暴露したエドワード・スノーデン容疑者（３０）は１２日、モスクワのシェレメチェボ空港で国際人権団体の代表らと面会しロシアへの一時的な政治亡命を希望する意向を伝えた。
インターファクス通信によると、同容疑者と面会した人権団体「ヒューマン・ライツ・ウオッチ」のロシア代表は「彼は『ラテンアメリカへ行けるようになるまではロシアにとどまりたい』と述べた」と説明した。
スノーデン容疑者は最終的に、亡命受け入れを表明しているベネズエラやボリビアに渡航することを望んでいるものの、実現の見通しが立たないためロシアに入国し保護を求める意向を示した模様だ。
別の出席者は、同容疑者が米国の機密情報の暴露をこれ以上行わない考えを示したと説明した。プーチン露大統領は亡命を認める条件として、米国の利益を損なう行為の中止をあげていた。
