On Monday (December 14), the first doses of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the United States, and blink-182's Mark Hoppus shared a hilarious meme on Instagram to celebrate the milestone.
"Congrats to the first recipients of the vaccine" it says, accompanied by the iconic Enema Of The State album art that shows Mark, Tom, and Travis sitting in an exam room dressed in boxers while the nurse (Janine Lindemulder) looks at the camera, holding a gigantic syringe. It's kind of the perfect response.
The Dolly Parton-funded Moderna vaccine is also on course to be granted emergency authorization by the Food and Drug Administration by the end of the week.

Barker was born in Fontana, California on November 14, 1975,[2] When Barker was four, his mother gave him his first kit, which was the only one he would have until he was 15. Barker began taking drum lessons at age five with a drummer named Michael Mai, who would expose young Barker to many different playing styles. At this time, he also began taking trumpet lessons. In junior high, Barker learned to play the piano and briefly tried singing, joining the madrigals men and women's choir.[3] In addition, Barker had non-musical aspirations; he also was interested in becoming a professional surfer and skateboarder. However, Barker states that "I always migrated back to drums, though. That was the one direction that kind of felt like I was connected to and I could kind of understand. I could express myself better through my drums than I could anything else."[4]
On the night of September 19, 2008, a Learjet 60 business jet (registration N999LJ)[2] operating for Global Exec Aviation crashed during take-off from Columbia Metropolitan Airport in South Carolina.[3][4]
Four of the six people on board died in the crash. The survivors, musician Travis Barker and disc jockey Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein, were critically injured.[5] The jet had been due to fly Barker, Goldstein, and their entourage to Van Nuys, California, after their TRV$DJAM band's performance at a concert in Five Points.[6]
The aircraft involved was a Learjet 60 that had first flown in 2006, receiving its airworthiness certificate on December 14. It was powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW305A turbofan engines and had 108.5 flight hours with 123 take off and landing cycles.[7]: 7
Barker's son Landon Asher Barker, 18, was in New York City, performing with Machine Gun Kelly on Tuesday evening.
Landon shared videos of him performing Machine Gun Kelly's song Die in California, which Landon is featured in with Gunna and Young Thug.
