Honolulu police officers shot and killed a man brandishing a 9mm ghost gun at the Ohia Waikiki Studio Suites shortly after midnight Friday, according to Honolulu Police Chief Joe Logan. Logan said Specialized Services Division officers shot the 48-year-old man twice and he was treated at the scene before being taken to a hospital where he died.
At a news conference Friday, Logan said the incident is the second shooting by police in 2022 and the first fatality. There were six officer-involved shootings in 2021 and four fatalities, he said.

Fire crews douse small kitchen fire at Marco Police Condominiums in Waikiki
HONOLULU (KITV4) -- Honolulu firefighters extinguished a small kitchen fire at the Marco Polo Condominium complex, Friday morning.
The call came in around 9:30 a.m. According to HFD, the fire was reported in a unit on the 23rd floor of the complex – located on Kapiolani Boulevard near Isenberg Street. Thankfully, HFD says the call turned out to be because of overcooked food. No one was injured.
But the call and location of the fire gave flashbacks to the deadly 2017 blaze that killed four residents -- Britt Reller, his mother Melba "Jean" Dilley, and their neighbors Joann Kuwata and Marilyn Van Gieson.
The fire caused more than $100 million worth of damage.
In the wake of the Marco Polo fire on July 14, 2017, there was a push to require older residential high-rise buildings to install fire sprinkler systems. When the fire happened, the Marco Polo, built in 1971, did not have sprinklers.
There was pushback from some condo associations over the cost, so now, under the current city ordinance, 22-02, the condos can either install automatic sprinklers in the common and living areas, or undergo a life safety evaluation, and take steps to pass the evaluation with an acceptable score.

When Pearl City Community Church puts on its April luau, it's not just members who show up to do the work of wrestling pigs into the imu, chopping ingredients for lomilomi salmon and cooking gallons of chicken long rice and squid luau.
Former Pearl City beat policemen, construction laborers and retired school cafeteria workers, residents of the other side of Oahu, people who aren't even Christian, consider it their tradition. Dozens of them worked to put on the 50th annual luau April 23, which fed about 3,500 people.
A similar wide circle of friends is expected at the church's 50th-anniversary party next Saturday. It'll be at the Okinawa Cultural Center in Waipahu, where someone else will do the cooking.
"Community" has been the church's character since its beginnings at the site on Lehua Street a block makai of Kamehameha Highway.
More than 50 former members of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team were volunteers on the construction crew in the early 1950s, recruited by their former Army chaplain, the Rev. Hiro Higuchi, founding pastor of the church.https://tokumei10.blogspot.com/2017/07/blog-post_56.html

Googleが公開した脆弱性は3種類
そもそも今回の脆弱性は，Googleのセキュリティ研究チーム「Project Zero」が北米時間2018年1月3日に発表したものだ。
情報が錯綜した背景には，Project Zeroの発表したペーパーに，「現代的なCPUアーキテクチャに起因している」という共通点を持ちつつ，それぞれ影響を与えるCPUや影響の範囲が異なる，下に示す3つの脆弱性の存在が挙げられる。

Variant2（CVE-2017-5715）：分岐ターゲットインジェクション
Variant3（CVE-2017-5754）：不正なデータキャッシュ読み込み
