イーグルスがアルバム売上最高に＝マイケル・ジャクソン抜く－米
【ニューヨーク時事】全米レコード協会（ＲＩＡＡ）は２０日、米ロックバンド、イーグルスのベスト・アルバム「グレイテスト・ヒッツ１９７１－１９７５」（１９７６年）の米国内での売り上げが、３８００万枚を突破し、史上最高になったと発表した。これまでのトップはマイケル・ジャクソンの「スリラー」（８２年）だった。
イーグルスのベスト・アルバムは「テイク・イット・イージー」など初期のヒット曲を収録。ＡＦＰ通信によると、このアルバムの売上数はかつて首位だったが、マイケル・ジャクソンが急死した２００９年に「スリラー」に抜かれていた。
