元サッカー選手でイングランド代表としても活躍したデヴィッド・ベッカムさんも早や40歳（誕生日は５月２日）。体中にタトゥーをほどこしていることでも知られるが、このほど40ヵ所目のタトゥーを入れた歳の模様をSNSに投稿し、話題となっている。「デイリー・メール」紙が報じた。
新たに加わったのは、首元のタトゥーで、４人目の子供で、待望の女児となったハーパーちゃん（４）の名を彫ったタトゥーのすぐ上に「Pretty Lady」（かわいいレディー）と追加。その模様をSNS「インスタグラム」に投稿し、920万人のフォロワーに報告した。
その数日前には、右手の小指に「99」というタトゥーを入れたという。この99は、1999年のことで、当時、ベッカムさんが所属していたマンチェスター・ユナイテッドがプレミアリーグとFAカップで優勝、チャンピオンズリーグも制覇するという偉業を成し遂げた年であるとともに、夫人のヴィクトリアさんと結婚した年で、思い出深いものとされている。
ヴィクトリアさんに捧げるタトゥーのほか、子供たち４人の名などが彫りこまれた体を、誇らしげに披露しているベッカムさん＝写真（「デイリー・メール」紙より）。すべてのタトゥーには「意味がある」そうで、「それぞれのタトゥーには思い出があり、タトゥーを見ると、その時の思いをふり返ることができる」と説明している。
