米ラッシュ、日本でのカジノ進出は大阪のみ 50億ドル投資へ

［大阪市 １２日 ロイター］ - 米不動産開発・カジノ事業者、ラッシュ・ストリート・ゲーミング（本社シカゴ）のニール・ブルーム会長は１２日、カジノを持つ統合型リゾート（ＩＲ）について、日本国内で事業展開する場合は「大阪のみに関心を持っている」と述べた。また現在、候補地となっている大阪湾内の人工島への交通インフラ建設に向け、同社が「予算を準備して、市などと話をして問題解決していきたい」と、整備に協力する意向を示した。
大阪市内での記者会見でブルーム会長は、大阪でのＩＲ開業に向け、インフラ部分を含めて「５０億ドルぐらいの投資をする準備はできている」と表明。同社にとって最大規模のＩＲを建設する意向を示した。また売上については、年間３０億から５０億ドルを上回る規模になると想定しているという。
大阪府・市は先月、ＩＲの候補地を人工島「夢洲（ゆめしま）」を軸としたベイエリアとする方針を決めた。夢洲は広大で安価な土地が残されている利点がある一方、都心部や関西国際空港からのアクセス面で課題を抱えている。市は現在、夢洲につながる鉄道網の整備に向けたプランを策定中。財政難にあるため、建設にはカジノ事業者に一定の負担を求める意向だ。
会見に先立ちブルーム会長は同日、松井一郎府知事と大阪府庁で会談。同会長はシカゴと大阪が姉妹都市関係にあることに触れたうえで、「大阪に非常に詳しいパートナーと組んで、魅力のあるＩＲを作りたい」との考えを表明した。
これに対し松井知事は、カジノ解禁に向けた法案が成立した段階で誘致活動を積極化したいとの考えを示したうえで、同社に対しＩＲ事業案について「自信作をどんどん提案してもらいたい」と述べた。
ラッシュ・ストリート・ゲーミングは、シカゴ・マーカンタイル取引所をはじめ、商業・オフィス施設などの開発などを手掛けたほか、ピッツバーグやフィラデルフィアでカジノを運営している。 (長田善行)
