Two thirds of Americans are now considered at elevated risk of COVID-19 as CDC rules that being overweight and not just obese makes you more susceptible

• The CDC now believes being overweight - having a BMI of 25-30 - is risky
• People who are overweight are at a higher risk of contracting COVID-19
• It was previously known that being obese led to an elevated risk
• Forty per cent of American adults are obese and 32 per cent are overweight
• Donald Trump, infected last week, is obese with a BMI of 30.5
