John Lennon's killer Mark David Chapman, 67, is denied parole for the TWELFTH time - nearly 42 years after he shot Beatles icon in cold blood outside his Manhattan building

• Chapman, 67, appeared before a parole board at the end of August, according to the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision 
• He was 25 when he shot Lennon dead outside his apartment building on December 8, as Lennon and wife Yoko Ono were returning to their apartment 
• State officials have yet to make transcripts of Chapman's latest board interview available, but he has repeatedly expressed remorse in previous parole hearings 
• Chapman called his actions 'despicable' during a 2020 hearing and said he would have 'no complaint whatsoever' if they never let him out of prison
• He has said previously that he feels 'more and more shame' every year for the crime
