US Catholic leaders tell believers to AVOID Johnson & Johnson vaccine because they claim the injection uses abortion-derived cells and urge people to have Pfizer or Moderna jabs instead

• Archdiocese of New Orleans have told local Catholics to avoid the Johnson & Johnson vaccine
• Argues the jab uses 'morally compromised cell lines created from two abortions'
• The archdiocese made the announcement on Friday although the Vatican says getting Covid vaccine is 'morally acceptable'   
• Archdiocese of St Louis on Tuesday is also encouraging Catholics to seek out the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines and avoid the Johnson & Johnson version if possible
• St Louis statement called the Johnson & Johnson vaccine 'morally compromised'
• Stressed that Catholics can get that vaccine 'in good conscience if no other alternative is available'
• Cell lines derived from aborted tissue were used in the development of the polio, chickenpox, hepatitis A and shingles vaccines
• Johnson & Johnson's vaccine uses a cell line derived from aborted tissue in 1985
• Vaccine hesitancy has been a major concern throughout the pandemic
• More than 28.6 million people in the US have been infected by the coronavirus and 515,000 killed since the pandemic began

Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine is made using a harmless cold virus, called an adenovirus, the same technology it used to produce a successful Ebola vaccine.

The adenovirus is grown using what´s called an immortalized cell line, and the virus then is pulled out and purified.

Several types of cell lines created decades ago using fetal tissue exist and are widely used in medical manufacturing but the cells in them today are clones of the early cells, not the original tissue.

要するに本来のワクチンですな。
