Biden's inaugural priest Father Kevin O'Brien is put on leave as president of Santa Clara University over claims of misconduct 'in an adult setting'

• Santa Clara said on Thursday that Father O'Brien is on administrative leave
• University is investigating claims of inappropriate conduct 'in an adult setting'
• The allegations consisted 'primarily of conversations' O'Brien is said to have had
• O'Brien celebrated a Roman Catholic Mass for Joe Biden's inauguration 
• He has been a friend of the Biden family for 15 years, since meeting them in DC

 Canadian-born O’Brien graduated from Georgetown University, in 1988, the same year he became an American citizen.

He later obtained a law degree from the University of Florida followed by a master's degree in philosophy and a Master of Divinity and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Weston Jesuit School of Theology.

 He joined the Jesuits in 1996 and was ordained as a priest in 2006.
