Haemin Sunim (born December 12, 1973) is a South Korean teacher and writer of the Zen Buddhism tradition.^[1]Haemin Sunim is a Zen Buddhist teacher, writer and the founder of the School of Broken Hearts in Seoul. Born in South Korea and educated at Berkeley,^[when?] Harvard,^[when?] and Princeton,^[when?] he received formal monastic training from Haein monastery, South Korea and taught Asian religions at Hampshire College in Massachusetts for seven years.^[when?] He is one of the most influential^{[peacock term]} Zen monks in the world, with almost 2 million followers on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.^{[citation needed]} His first book, The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down has been translated to more than 30 different languages and sold over three million copies.^[2] His second book, Love for Imperfect Things was the number one bestseller of the year 2016 in South Korea and will become available in multiple languages from 2019.
