Carlos Ramos (born 1971)^[1] is a Portuguese Tennis umpire.^[2] Ramos, a gold-badged judge under the International Tennis Federation's rankings,^[3] was the first umpire to sit a match in all four of the Grand slam tennis tournaments.^[2] Ramos is also notable for umpiring many high-profile matches, and also for having several high-profile confrontations with players across his career.^[4][2]


Patrick Mouratoglou (born 8 June 1970) is a French tennis coach^[2][3] and sports television analyst/commentator.
Mouratoglou was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine to a Greek father and a French mother.^[1] His father Pâris Mouratoglou Paraskevas (born January 10, 1941 in Athens) is a businessman and the founder and president of EDF Énergies Nouvelles.
Patrick Mouratoglou founded the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in 1996 near Paris (later relocated to the outskirts of Nice), and has coached many up-and-coming players, including Marcos Baghdatis (whom he coached to the final of the 2006 Australian Open), Julia Vakulenko, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Aravane Rezaï, Jérémy Chardy, Laura Robson, Yanina Wickmayer and Grigor Dimitrov.^[4]
Mouratoglou has been the coach of Serena Williams since June 2012.



Williams announced her engagement to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian on December 29, 2016.^[319] She planned to move to San Francisco with Ohanian after the wedding.^[247] Williams and Ohanian were married on November 16, 2017, in New Orleans. Guests at the wedding included Beyoncé, Anna Wintour, Kelly Rowland and Kim Kardashian West.^[320]
On April 19, 2017, Williams posted a sideways picture of herself on Snapchat focused on her midsection. It had the caption, "20 weeks", sparking speculation that Williams was pregnant.^[321] Later that evening, her spokesperson confirmed that the couple was expecting.^[322] The fact that she was 20 weeks pregnant when announcing her pregnancy meant that she was 8 weeks pregnant when she won the Australian Open in January.^[323]
On September 1, 2017, Williams gave birth to a daughter, named Alexis Olympia Ohanian.^[324] Williams had a cesarean-section delivery due to complications (specifically, blood clots in her lungs and a pulmonary embolism, or PE, which had caused trouble breathing) during the labor of her daughter and, at first, was devastated about it.^[325] In August 2018, Serena announced she was suffering from Postpartum depression.^[326]
Williams was raised a Jehovah's Witness, but says she has "never really practiced it".^[247] She often thanks Jehovah after winning matches.^[327] However, Williams confirmed that she follows some practices: "Olympia doesn’t celebrate birthdays. We’re Jehovah’s Witnesses, so we don’t do that.”^[328]


Alexis Kerry Ohanian (born April 24, 1983)^[2] is an American Internet entrepreneur and investor, who is co-founder and executive chairman of the social news website Reddit. He also co-founded the early stage venture capital firm Initialized Capital, helped launch the travel search website Hipmunk, and started the social enterprise Breadpig. Ohanian is based in San Francisco, and was a partner at Y Combinator. In 2012, Andy Greenberg of Forbes magazine dubbed him "Mayor of the Internet".^[3]

Ohanian was born in Brooklyn, New York,^[1] to a German-born mother, Anke (née Prigge)^[4][5] and Chris Ohanian, an Armenian-American whose grandparents came to the U.S. as refugees after the Armenian Genocide.^[6][7] He went to Howard High School in Ellicott City, Maryland, where he gave the student address for his graduating class in 2001.^[8][9]


In February 2013, Betabeat published a post that recognized the influx of multi-national corporations like Costco, Taco Bell, Subaru, and McDonald's posting branded content on Reddit that was made to appear as if it was original content from legitimate Reddit users.^[140] Reddit's former Director of Communications noted that while a large number of Chief Marketing Officers want to "infiltrate the reddit community on behalf of their brand," she emphasized that "self-promotion is frowned upon" and the site is "100 percent organic."^{[141][142][143][144]} She recommended that advertisers design promotions that "spark conversations and feedback."^[145] She recommended that businesses use AMAs to get attention for public figures but cautioned "It is important to approach AMAs carefully and be aware that this may not be a fit for every project or client."^[146] Nissan ran a successful branded content promotion offering users free gifts to publicize a new car,^[147][148] though the company was later ridiculed for suspected astroturfing when the CEO only answered puff piece questions on the site.^[149][150] Taylor described these situations as "high risk" noting: "We try hard to educate people that they have to treat questions that may seem irreverent or out of left field the same as they would questions about the specific project they are promoting."^[151]


藤田 田（ふじた でん、1926年（大正15年）3月13日 - 2004年（平成16年）4月21日）は、日本の実業家。大阪府大阪市東淀川区（現・淀川区）生まれ。輸入雑貨販売店「藤田商店」、「日本マクドナルド」、「日本トイザらス」創業者^[1]。
母親がキリスト教徒だった事から、「口」に「十字架」で、よい言葉を語るように、という意味で「田」という名前になったとされている^[2]。本人はクリスチャンではなく、「銀座のユダヤ人」を自称した。3歳の時に千里山へと移住した。通っていた千里第二小学校（当時は三島郡千里第二尋常小学校）では成績は優秀だったが、母が教師に付け届けをしなかったため内申書をあまりよい表現で書いてもらえず、一浪して大阪・十三の（旧制）北野中学に進学。卒業後、戦火が激しくなったことから大阪を離れ1944年に（旧制）松江高等学校を経て東京大学法学部へ入学。山崎晃嗣（光クラブ経営）が1級上にいた（山崎との関係については後述）。在学時に経験した通訳のアルバイトでユダヤ人米兵の自由な生き方に触れて感動し、東大在学中の1950年（昭和25年）に輸入雑貨販売店「藤田商店」を設立。



安藤 百福（あんどう ももふく、1910年（明治43年）3月5日 - 2007年（平成19年）1月5日）、元名呉百福、は日本の実業家。インスタンラーメンの開発者として知られる。日清食品（株）創業者。日本統治時代の台湾出身、民族は台湾人。
1948年（昭和23年）に（株）中交総社（後の日清食品）を設立。1966年（昭和41年）に日本国籍を取得。^[2]日清食品の代表取締役社長、代表取締役会長、創業者会長を歴任。（社）日本即席食品工業協会会長、（財）安藤スポーツ・食文化振興財団理事長、（財）漢方医薬研究振興財団会長、世界ラーメン協会会長、（財）いけだ市民文化振興財団会長などを務めた。池田市名誉市民。位階勲等は正四位勲二等。

1910年、日本統治時代の台湾・台南県東石郡樸仔脚（現・嘉義県朴子市）に生まれる。父は呉玉、母は呉千緑。父は資産家だったが、両親を幼少期に亡くし、繊維問屋を経営する祖父母のもと、台南市で育った。安藤曰く幼い頃から数字に異常なほど強い興味を持ち、足し算・引き算・掛け算を習得したという^[3]。14歳で高等小学校を卒業^[4]。

実業家となる

義務教育修了後、祖父の繊維問屋を手伝い、20歳ごろに町に初めてできた図書館の司書となったが2年で辞し、父の遺産で1932年に台湾の永楽市場で繊維会社「東洋莫大小（とうようメリヤス）」を設立して日本内地から製品を仕入れて台湾で販売した^[4]。当時の繊維業界の動きからメリヤスの需要が大きく伸びるという安藤の予測が当たり、事業は大きな成功を収めた^[5]。1933年には大阪市にメリヤス問屋「日東商会」を設立。メリヤスを扱った他、トウゴマを栽培して実からひまし油を採取、葉を養蚕用に繊維メーカーに売る事業も手掛けた^[6]。この時期の安藤は実業家として活動する傍ら、立命館大学専門部経済学科(夜学)に学び、1934年3月に修了した（同校からは60年後の1996年10月に「戦後のベンチャービジネスの卓越した成果」を称えられ、名誉経営学博士号を授与された^[7][8]）。
太平洋戦争開戦後、軍需工場の経営に携わったが、そのために憲兵の拷問を受けることになった。安藤は国から支給された資材の横流しに気付き憲兵隊に訴えたが、安藤自身が横流しした疑いをかけられ、棍棒で殴られる、正座した足の間に竹の棒を挟まれるといった拷問を受けた^[9]。安藤によると、憲兵隊の中に横流しをしたと思しき者の親戚がいたことが後に判明した^[10]。安藤は自白を強要されたが調書への署名を拒否し、拷問はエスカレートした。安藤は留置場で知り合った人物を通じて知人の元陸軍将校に助けを求め、解放されたが留置生活の影響から深刻な内臓疾患を抱えることになり、後に2度の開腹手術を受けている^[11]。後に空襲が激しくなったことから、終戦まで兵庫県の上郡に疎開するが、大阪で事業を手掛けていた頃在住していた千里山では、隣家に藤田田の一家が住んでおり、交流を持つこととなった。
1946年冬、安藤は疎開先から大阪へ戻り、泉北郡大津町（現在の泉大津市）に住んだ。終戦直後は土地が安く手放されていたため、久原房之助の助言により、大阪の中心街の心斎橋ほか御堂筋や大阪駅前など相当の土地を手に入れた^[4]。戦後の食糧難の中で安藤は「衣食住というが、食がなければ衣も住もあったものではない」という思いを抱くようになり、食品事業を手掛けることを決意した^[12]。安藤によるとこの時抱いた想いが原点となって、後に日清食品の企業理念「食足世平（食足りて世は平らか）」が誕生した^[13]。安藤は自宅近くにあった軍需工場跡地の払い下げを受け、跡地に置かれていた鉄板を用いた製塩業や漁業を営んだ^[14]。1948年、安藤は「中交総社」（後の日清食品）を設立した^[15]。

1948年12月、安藤はGHQに脱税の嫌疑をかけられた。安藤は前述の事業において地元の若者を雇い、彼らに「奨学金」として現金を支給していたが、奨学金は所得であり源泉徴収して納税すべきであるのにそれを行わなかったというのが理由であった。裁判の結果安藤は4年間の重労働の刑^{[† 1]}を言い渡され、巣鴨拘置所に収監された。さらに安藤が個人名義で所有していた不動産は全て没収された。安藤の収監後、GHQは安藤の名を挙げて「納税義務に違反した者には厳罰を処す」という内容の談話を発表した^[16]。安藤はこの一件について、「みせしめに使われたようだ」と述べている^[17]。安藤は法学者の黒田覚の支援を受け、弁護団を結成して処分取り消しを求める裁判を起こした。これに対しGHQ側は「訴えを取り下げれば釈放する」と取引を持ちかけた。当初安藤は断固裁判を継続する覚悟を固めていたが、最終的には大阪に残した家族の生活を案じて取引に応じて訴えを取り下げ、釈放された^[18]。


大坂 なおみ（おおさか なおみ,英: Naomi Osaka,1997年10月16日 - ）は、大阪府大阪市中央区出身の女子プロテニス選手^[2][3]。自己最高ランキングはシングルス7位。これまでにWTAツアーでシングルス2勝を挙げている。身長180cm。体重69kg。右利き、バックハンド・ストロークは両手打ち。
法的には日米二重国籍（2018年現在）である^[2][3]が、「テニス選手としての国籍」は日本を選択している^[4]（姉の大坂まりも同様）。
日清食品ホールディングス所属^[5][6]。マネージメントはインターナショナル・マネジメント・グループ。練習拠点はエバートテニスアカデミー^[7]。
日本人初のグランドスラムシングルス優勝者^{[注 1]}。プレミア・マンダトリー優勝者。WTAアワード年間最優秀新人賞。
