セクハラで高裁判事辞職＝米

【ワシントン時事】米紙ワシントン・ポスト（電子版）によると、アレックス・コジンスキー連邦高裁判事（６７）が１８日、セクハラ問題を受けて辞職すると表明した。コジンスキー判事は１５人の女性から被害を訴えられていた。

コジンスキー氏は、サンフランシスコにある連邦第９巡回控訴裁判所（高裁）の判事。弁護士を通じて声明を出し「冗談のつもりだったが、女性への配慮が欠けていたかもしれない」と謝罪した。（2017/12/19-01:12）

Kozinski was born to a Jewish family^[2] in Bucharest, Romania, in July 1950. In 1962, when he was 12, his parents, both Holocaust survivors, brought him to the United States. The family settled in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, where his father, Moses, ran a small grocery store. The 9th Circuit courts in San Francisco has clashed repeatedly with President Donald Trump.

Judges in the circuit have blocked both of Trump's bans on travelers from a group of mostly Muslim countries and halted his attempt to strip funding from so-called sanctuary cities.

Kozinski joined four fellow conservative judges in an opinion in March that did not mention Trump by name, but said 'personal attacks' on judges who blocked the administration's first travel ban were 'out of all bounds of civic and persuasive discourse.'
