Star Trek actor George Takei told Howard Stern he would grab men in order to 'persuade' them to have sex with him - weeks before he was accused of assaulting a male model

Star Trek actor George Takei told Howard Stern last month that he grabbed men he was ‘trying to persuade’ to be with him sexually
Controversial audio surfaced on Saturday less than a day after Takei denied sexually assaulting male model Scott Brunton in Los Angeles in 1981
The star said the incident 'did not occur' and he does not 'remember' the man
On Saturday George sent out several back-to-back tweets addressing the claim
He began: 'I want to assure you all that I am as shocked and bewildered at these claims as you must feel reading them'

Howard Allan Stern was born on January 12, 1954, the second child of Ben and Ray (née Schiffman) Stern who lived in the Jackson Heights neighborhood of Queens in New York City.[2] His parents are Jewish, and their families are from Poland and Austria-Hungary.[2] Ray was an office clerk in New York City[2][3] before she became a homemaker and later took up work as an inhalation therapist.[4] Ben served in the U.S. army in Long Island and California during the war, and later worked as a radio engineer at WHOM in Manhattan[5] and as a co-owner and operator at Aura Recording Inc., a Manhattan recording studio where cartoons and commercials were cut.[5] Stern described his older sister Ellen as the "complete opposite" of himself and "very quiet".[6]
In 1955, the family moved to Roosevelt, New York on Long Island[7] where Stern attended Washington-Rose Elementary School followed by Roosevelt Junior-Senior High School.[8] Stern also attended Hebrew school where he was given the name Tzvi.[9] As a youngster Stern took five years of piano lessons[10] and took an interest in marionettes, using them to entertain his friends with explicit shows. He formed a band with two school friends, the Electric Comicbook, on vocals and keyboards.[11] From the age of nine to his second year at university, Stern spent his summers at Camp Wel-Met, a youth camp in Narrowsburg, New York where he worked camper, kitchen, and counselor duties. He recalled his time there as "the greatest experience".[12]
He is a longtime friend of U.S. President Donald Trump but supported his opponent, Hillary Clinton, in the 2016 presidential election.[221]
