Georgina Rose Chapman (born 14 April 1976) is an English fashion designer and actress. Chapman, along with actress and former model Keren Craig, is a co-founder of the fashion label Marchesa.

Chapman was born in London, England, the daughter of Caroline Wonfor, a journalist, and Brian Chapman, a co-owner of the fairtrade organic coffee company Percol.[2][3] Chapman grew up in Richmond, southwest London. Chapman attended Marlborough College in Wiltshire.[4]
In her 20s, Chapman modelled in an ad for Head & Shoulders, a dandruff shampoo, and one for throat lozenges Soothers.
Chapman met future business partner Keren Craig while they were both students at Chelsea College of Art and Design.[5] Chapman graduated from Wimbledon School of Art in 2001 and began her career as a costume designer. After graduation, Chapman appeared in various television shows and films.
In 2004, Craig and she launched Marchesa, named after socialite Marchesa Luisa Casati.[5] Investors of the brand include Giuseppe Cipriani and Steve Witkoff.[6] In 2006, the label was named one of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund's top 10 finalists.[7]
According to the "Sunday Times Rich List 2015," Georgina Chapman is worth £15 million.[8]
In 2012, Chapman was featured as a judge on the premiere of Project Runway: All Stars. She reprised her role as judge for the first five seasons of the show.

Personal life


Chapman started dating film producer Harvey Weinstein in December 2004 after he left his first wife. They married on 15 December 2007 in Connecticut, USA. The couple split their time between a West Village townhouse, a seafront home in Westport, Connecticut, and a mansion in Los Angeles. Chapman gave birth to the couple's first child, daughter India Pearl, on 30 August 2010.[9][10] On 11 April 2013, they had a son, Dashiell Max Robert.[11] On 10 October 2017, Chapman announced she was leaving Weinstein after numerous reports by actresses of alleged sexual harassment and sexual assault.[12][13][14]






Brian Chapman, is a British businessman and director of Food Brands Group, as well as the creator of the Percol coffee brand.
CareerChapman began working in advertising, but in 1970 he founded a company called Copack as a coffee distributor. In 1978, whilst teamed up with another company, they launched the coffee brand Verdona. They sold through supermarket chain Sainsbury's, and sold a million jars in the first week.[1]
In 1987, he left and founded Food Brands Group on his own as well as the coffee brand Percol. In 1999, the company founded the charity Coffee Kids to support the coffee growing communities. In 2003, Percol became one of the first coffee brands to achieve Fairtrade certification, and by 2007 was worth £10 million.[1] During the mid 2000s, Chapman compared the growth in consumer knowledge about coffee in the United Kingdom to the emergence in wine knowledge during the 1980s.[2] Food Brands Group was acquired by Swedish-based Lofbergs Lila AB in 2013, by which time the company's turnover was £9 million a year.[3]
