Married mother-of-three Ellen Brody (pictured right) was identified as the driver of an SUV which was hit by a train on Tuesday in Valhalla, New York when she stopped her vehicle on the tracks and got out to look at the rear of her vehicle which had been hit by the crossing barrier. She and five others died in the horrific collision (main image). They were identified on Wednesday as (from left) Walter Liedtke, Eric Vandercar, Joseph Nadol, and Robert Dirks. Tomar Aditya also died. Friends rushed to Mrs Brody's defense, saying that she was a careful driver who would not have taken any risks.
