REPUBLICANS OBJECT TO ARIZONA'S VOTES
Lawmakers got through Alabama and Alaska, two states that went for Trump, without an objection.
Rep. Paul Gosar, an Arizona Republican, objected to his state's Electoral College votes going to Biden and Harris. He confirmed that his objection had been signed on to by a U.S. senator.
Democrats in the chamber audibly groaned.
Droves of Republicans in the chamber stood up and clapped.
The move forced Pence to order the houses out of joint session. The senators in the House chamber started moving back toward their side of the U.S. Capitol.
On the House side, during their debate on the Arizona objection, Republican lawmakers used their time to complain about the treatment of the president, particularly the impeachment process and special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.
They did not offer any proof of voter fraud but complained that voter laws were changed ahead of the November contest, which is not illegal.

Paul Anthony Gosar[1] (/ˈɡoʊsɑːr/; born November 27, 1958) is an American politician and former dentist who serves as the U.S. Representative for Arizona's 4th congressional district since 2013. A Republican, he was elected in 2010 to represent the neighboring 1st congressional district until redistricting. Gosar's district includes most of rural western Arizona, the entirety of Prescott and a number of Phoenix's suburbs.
The Arizona Republic has called Gosar "Arizona's most controversial member of Congress".[2] He has promoted conspiracy theories and been a hard-line defender of President Donald Trump.[2][3] His siblings have made headlines for openly supporting Gosar's opponents due to his political views, prompting him to comment, "You can't pick your family."[4]
Gosar was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming, on November 27, 1958.[5][6] He is the oldest of the seven sons and three daughters[7][8] born to Antone John Gosar and Bernadette M. (née Erramouspe) Gosar. His paternal grandparents were Slovenian and his maternal grandparents were Basque immigrants from Banca, France.[9] Gosar was raised in Pinedale, Wyoming, and graduated from Pinedale High School in 1977.[10] His parents have been described as devoted Republicans who attended the national conventions for former presidents Richard M. Nixon and Gerald Ford. Gosar's brother Pete Gosar is a former chairman of the Wyoming Democratic Party and was a candidate for governor of Wyoming in 2010[7][11] and 2014.[12]
In 1981, Gosar received his B.S. from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1985, he earned his D.D.S. from the Boyne School of Dentistry at Creighton.[5]
Creighton University is a private Jesuit university in Omaha, Nebraska. Founded by the Society of Jesus in 1878, the university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. In 2015 the university enrolled 8,393 graduate and undergraduate students on a 140-acre (57 ha)[9] campus just outside Omaha's downtown business district.

Boycott of Pope Francis
On September 17, 2015, in an op-ed on the conservative website Townhall.com, Gosar announced that he would not attend Pope Francis's planned address to a joint meeting of Congress unless the Pope spoke about issues such as "violent Islam" or Planned Parenthood instead of climate change. He wrote that he would treat the Pope the same way he believes "leftist politicians" should be treated.[50] Gosar accused Francis of having "adopted all of the socialist talking points, wrapped false science and ideology into 'climate justice' and is being presented to guilt people into leftist policies."[51] He called climate science "questionable" and criticized Laudato si', Francis's encyclical on the environment.[50]
Gosar did not attend Francis's September 24 address, the only member of Congress not to do so.[52][53] Shortly after Francis's visit, Gosar used his opposition to Francis's addresses as a fundraising tool.[52][53] A fundraising email for Gosar used his Townhall.com op-ed's catchphrase, "When the Pope chooses to act and talk like a leftist politician, then he can expect to be treated like one",[7] and positioned Gosar as the victim of "unprecedented attacks" from "the liberals, the left-wing media and the Obama political machine."[53]
Gosar's wife is Maude Gosar. They have three children.[5]
Gosar is a Catholic. He has criticized Pope Francis's papacy as "inconsistent with Christianity" and skipped Francis's 2015 address to Congress in protest.[86]
Gosar has arthritis and has had two compressed vertebrae in his back that have required surgery to correct.[87] He cites years of hunching over for long periods while a dentist as the cause, as well as genetics and a history of playing rugby.[87]

大阪名物ハリセンチョップで一世を風靡（ふうび）した元「チャンバラトリオ」のゆうき哲也（ゆうき・てつや、本名井上哲也＝いのうえ・てつや）さんが4日、亡くなっていたことが6日分かった。79歳。大阪市出身。死因は明らかになっていない。後日に「お別れの会」を予定しているという。
関係者によると、長年、糖尿病を患っており、昨年12月中旬に病状が悪化。そのころから入院して治療していたが意識が混濁した状態が続いていたという。最期は夫人と2人の娘に見守られながら旅立ったという。
ゆうきさんは同志社大を半年で中退後、出版物の販売業務などを行い1960年に東映に入社。故高倉健さんの付き人となった後、68年に「チャンバラトリオ」に加入した。同トリオは70年代にメンバーの南方英二さん（享年77）がハリセンチョップを考案し、ドタバタコントで人気を博した。
ゆうきさんは同トリオを83年に脱退、90年に復帰を果たすが再び94年に脱退した。90年代には日本テレビ「ビートたけしのお笑いウルトラクイズ」で体を張った「人間性クイズ」の仕掛け人として登場し、爆笑をさらった。Vシネマシリーズ「難波金融伝・ミナミの帝王」に出演するなど、こわもて俳優として人気だった。

ゲレンデでイノシシ大暴れ 突進してスノボ女性が負傷
体長1.5メートルほどの野生のイノシシ。
現れたのは、雪が降り積もるゲレンデだった。
そこで次々と人を襲った。
イノシシが現れたのは長野・小谷村の「白馬乗鞍温泉スキー場」。
その時、多くのスキーヤーらが初滑りを楽しんでいた。
そんな中、イノシシはスノーボードをしていた女性めがけて突進してきた。
白馬乗鞍温泉スキー場・太田賢治さん「リフト沿いの林の中からイノシシが飛び出してくる形で、滑走中のお客さんに衝突した」
イノシシに襲われた女性は、頭と足を負傷。
白銀のゲレンデが血に染められた。
そのそばには、イノシシとみられる足跡があった。
長い棒を使って、イノシシを追い払おうとする従業員たち。
イノシシは従業員にも襲いかかり、足にけがをさせた。
白馬乗鞍温泉スキー場・太田賢治さん「イノシシをスノーモービルでゲレンデ外にとにかく出そうと、お客さんに危害があってはいけないということでみんな動いていました」
被害に遭ったスキー場は、今後もイノシシなどの野生の動物が現れる可能性があるとして、スキー客へ注意を呼びかけている。
